Ulla Kauhanen
I have become known for my angel paintings, but as a passionate painter, I enjoy creating images on any subject. Fantasy landscapes, children's subjects , and animals are featured in my paintings.
Painting with acrylic or oil paints is an adventure that I don’t want to “control”. By this I mean that a very important part of my work is discovering something new, playing. This sometimes leads to procrastination, but that’s what I like best. I find that I deal with a certain subject in my time, make a series of it and after a while I move on.
My all-time favorites are the adventurous crows and penguins in my work, in a naive style of course. Otherwise, nature themes are closest to my heart, but if someone asks me to do an abstract piece, I'm all for it!
